October, 16th World Food Day

World Food Day, celebrated on 16 October, commemorates the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in 1945. At present times of high demand of food which subsequently lead to high scale food production, special attention should be paid to food quality but also environmental cost of its delivery. In our #SafeFoodCtrl project, we develop a new strategy based on enzymes (antimicrobial enzymes) to help fight bacterial infections in animals and protect food in a sustainable way.
