Working together for a green, competitive and inclusive Europe
The aim of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism (the so-called Norwegian Grants) and the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area (EEA) is to strengthen mutual relations between the countries forming the EEA and to reduce economic and social differences between them. The EEA and Norway Grants are a form of non-returnable foreign financial aid granted by Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein, several Central and Southern European countries and the Baltic States in exchange for access to the European Union’s internal market. By signing international agreements, under the third edition of the EEA and Norway Grants (2014-2021), Poland received EUR 809.3 million from the total amount of EUR 2.8 billion and is the largest beneficiary of the third edition of the program.
Polish-Norwegian projects supported only by Norwegian Funds, which are financed by Norway, will be implemented until 2024. They include initiatives in the field of innovation, research and education:
- health and social care
- industry and information technologies
- energy, transport and climate
- food and natural resources
- social and economic development
- unmanned vehicles
